What's coming up?

It's been a busy weekend in the shop, we've had new stock in and have had to move things around in the shop to make space for it all, and we are not done yet, there is more stock on its way!

We have a new section dedicated to kids craft, you may have noticed a picture of 'Sparkles' on our facebook page, look out for her and a friend of hers in the next blog post.

We had another scrapbook crop today in the shop.  These are growing in popularity, please come along to our next one on Sunday 30th March, 1 - 3 pm and meet other scrapbookers and share some ideas with each other.  Just bring along your page/s you are working on and your tool kit.  These crops are planned to run the last Sunday of every month.

The first of Kath's Klub classes will be running next Saturday, 1st March.

Sue Wilson and Julia Watts Visit - Day Two

It's Sunday and it's day two of our visit from our two special visitors, Sue Wilson and  Julia Watts.
Today saw Julia teaching classes while Sue spent the day demonstrating in our big classroom. Lots of people also returned for day two.  We've had visitors who have traveled from Edinburgh and  from Inverness to join us for a weekend of crafting workshops and free demonstrations.
I was fortunate enough to land myself a place on Julia's class today.  We made a lovely card which had us using lots of techniques and several dies.  We were kept very busy, so we were all very well behaved!!
Here are some photos from the first class.
A bit of inking inside the die

Julia demonstrating one of the flowers from the card,  will be using this technique in the future for definite.

The finished piece of art!

Meanwhile ... in the large classroom ...

... Sue is busy demonstrating lots of techniques,  and there were plenty of samples to inspire!

Speaking of samples ... here are just 'some'…
